Job Description
Working Assumptions (WA) seeks a digitally savvy, detail-oriented content and communications professional with a knack for engaging a variety of constituents and communities. Reporting to WA’s Senior Director of Brand and Digital Strategy, this role writes, edits, and produces for multiple platforms, in addition to managing content creators, contractors, and part-time workers as needed. You are an enthusiastic collaborator who loves to map out the next steps of ongoing work as well as implement projects from the start. You will be involved in launching a new digital magazine, providing support for our grants program, promoting learning opportunities, and growing awareness of the Working Assumptions brand and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Chief responsibilities include:
broadening awareness of, and deepening engagement with, the WA brand
developing and implementing content strategies that align with overall marketing and communication goals, in collaboration with Senior Director of Brand and Digital
crafting compelling and error-free content for digital and print channels
ensuring alignment with WA’s voice, style guide, and visual identity
planning and implementing communications in collaboration with colleagues
providing key insights and leveraging partnerships to grow organizational reach and impact
CONTENT STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION
Continue to build Working Assumptions’ digital content streams by curating and managing content creators and partners
Suggest new contributors and create contracts, scopes of work, and deliverables
Manage quarterly review processes with program leads and other staff to ensure that WA digital platforms are accurate and up-to-date.
Engage in project meetings with team members and stakeholders, bringing actionable ideas and impact-driven examples to current and future initiatives.
Maintain an org-wide content calendar.
CONTENT CREATION AND PRODUCTION
Craft compelling and informative content for various channels, including websites, social media, email newsletters, blog posts, and print.
In partnership with program leads, develop copy to drive participation in events and distribute via invitations, emails, and web pages.
Lead the production of quarterly newsletters that are insightful and lively, featuring stories and resources for our various audiences.
Ensure all content is grammatically correct, free of errors, optimized for SEO, and consistent in tone and style.
Undertake and/or oversee editing and proofreading for all new content, engaging contractors as needed.
Maintain and update WA style guide.
PLATFORM MANAGEMENT
Ensure that WA website is accurate, up-to-date, and functioning correctly.
Maintain and update subscriber lists for WA email, leveraging segments for various audiences.
Track emerging social media platforms and approaches, making recommendations to WA as applicable.
Ensure that all new content is properly archived within WA platforms DAM (ResourceSpace), Dropbox, etc.
Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate as needed.
EVALUATION AND ITERATION
Conduct A/B testing on new content as appropriate.
Build monthly metrics reporting to track platform and content engagement
Share actionable insights and course-correct as needed
Activate a process-based learning environment in regard to marketing, communication, and community building
Your Background and Attributes
Seven to ten years of professional experience planning, managing, and broadly undertaking storytelling, communications, and/or brand-centered digital content production and distribution
A passion for human-centered and purpose-driven work
A strong interest in photography, family/care, and visual storytelling
A hunger for learning and seeing multiple sides of an issue
Proven capacity for bringing in content projects on time and within budget
Comfort with a DIY environment in which team members operate with a high degree of autonomy and personal responsibility
Capacity to maintain a sense of humor when operating on tight deadlines.
Demonstrated fluency in:
Square Space
Mailchimp
Meta platforms
GoogleSuite, including analytics
Adobe
Digital asset management systems (DAMS)
Experience with Notion is a plus
Additional Information
This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid position in which the employee is able to work remotely up to 40% of our 40-hour workweek, with supervisor approval. Reasonable flexibility in hours is also possible.

While performing this job, the employee will be required to do close work with a computer monitor and keyboard, and occasionally be asked to lift up to 30 lbs. Employee must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
